WATCH: Man Steals Phones From Coats In Brooklyn Synagogue
Authorities are searching for the man seen on video ransacking coats that were hanging in the synagogue.

MIDWOOD, BROOKLYN — The NYPD is searching for a man who was caught on video stealing phones and other items from coats that were hanging up in a Brooklyn synagogue.
The man walked into Congregation Verezky Synagogue, located at 814 Avenue L near the Flatbush border, on Friday, March 3, at 11:15 a.m., police said.
He took three cell phones, an iPod and five "religious articles" from the pockets of coats that were hanging on a rack, police said.

He fled the scene on a bicycle and hasn't been found, police said.
The man is approximately five-foot-six to five-foot-eight, according to police, and is pictured above. Police also released the following surveillance video that shows the crime in progress.
