Mango season is finally here! But if you want good ones, avoid most supermarkets and absolutely do not get them from fresh direct.
The best mangoes I have found are at the Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi grocery store at the corner of Newkirk Avenue and Coney Island Avenue (There are actually two at that corner and they're both good, but I have a slight preference for the one on the south side).
