Woman, 74, Fatally Struck Crossing BK Street: Police
The woman tripped and fell on a yellow rubber curb while crossing the street, police said.

BROOKLYN, N.Y — A 74-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing a Brooklyn intersection Tuesday, police said.
The woman was killed when she tripped and fell on a yellow rubber curb and was run over by a passing 2023 Honda Accord.
The incident happened at the intersection of New York Avenue and Avenue D in East Flatbush at about 1:05 p.m., police said.

The 74-year-old woman, identified as Pauline Paton, was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The 28-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck the woman remained on the scene.

An investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad. There have been no arrests at this time.
