See photos (lohud.com) — A major 1994 mudslide along the Dobbs Ferry–Hastings border sent debris onto Metro-North’s Hudson Line, derailing a packed commuter train and injuring six riders. Investigators later pointed to drainage work at a nearby home, and Metro-North filed a claim against Dobbs Ferry and a lawsuit against the property owners over the damage.
