'CBD Retail Education Hub' Comes To Tribeca
The shop will feature a "discovery bar" with samples and a lounge hosting yoga, massage and guided meditation classes.

TRIBECA, NY — A store devoted to CBD, a cannabis derivative, is opening in Tribeca and aims to be an education center on the product that is getting a lot buzz — and it won't even get you high.
CBD, a nickname for cannabidiol, has ballooned in popular in recent years and is marketed as the new "it" drug, treating ailments as diverse as anxiety, inflammation and acne, among others.
The non-psychotropic cousin of marijuana is often misunderstood and CBD activist Steven Phan hopes to use his store Come Back Daily, opening at 381 Broadway this Thursday, as an educational resource for would-be cannabidiol users, he said.

"There's still a lot of skepticism on the benefits of CBC and I want to be there to educate people and bridge that gap between counterculture and mainstream," said Phan, 28, who is a daily CBD user and says it helps with his focus.
"Once people realize it won't get them high they think, 'There must be something here, if people aren't using it get high all day.'"

Instead of CBD products lining shelves behind a counter, the shop will feature a "discovery bar" where customers can peruse product samples including CBD-infused oils, creams and bath bombs.
"The products are all exposed, you can test everything except tinctures," Phan said, who is leaving his family seafood-import business, the H&N Group, to open Come Back Daily.
"This way I can come over and get intimate with the education and what people want to treat and what's best to treat it."
The space will also boast a lounge where Phan plans to host yoga, massage and guided meditation classes, and aims to bring in health-oriented small businesses into the space for special events.
Phan wanted to get the shop up and running before the holidays, but also plans to add a CBD-infused cafe with coffees and smoothies in the near future.
"I want this to be a space where people feel comfortable trying something new," Phan said.
Come Back Daily at 381 Broadway is open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The shop is hosting a grand opening party on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 7-10 p.m.
