Crook In Leopard Jacket Tries To Mug Woman For Her Coat: NYPD

The stylish attacker demanded the victim's coat, punching her in the face when she refused, police said.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A stylish crook attacked a woman for her coat inside the bathroom of the Fulton Street subway station Thursday, police said.

A woman in a leopard print jacket approached a 51-year-old woman inside the subway station at 1:40 p.m. and demanded the victim hand over her coat. When the woman refused, the attacker shoved the victim up against a wall and punched her in the face, authorities said.

The woman was able to fight off her attacker and run off. Shortly after, she spotted the leopard-jacket clad criminal walking on the street and took a cell phone video of the woman, police said.

Officials describe the suspect in her late 20s to early 30s, approximately five-foot-six and weighs about 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a hooded leopard-print jacket, ripped blue jeans with holes in the knees and hot pink leggings underneath with black boots.
