Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Tribeca Man In Queens, Say Police
The 29-year-old man was crossing the street when a driver slammed into him Sunday evening, police said.
TRIBECA, NY — A 29-year-old was struck and killed when a hit-and-run driver plowed into him in Queens Sunday evening, police said.
Tribeca resident Niklas Ahern was crossing Continental Avenue near Slocum Crescent in Forest Hills just after 5:30 p.m. when a car speeding north on the same street careened into him, sending Ahern flying across the pavement, police said.
Ahern was rushed to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver did not stop and remains at large by Monday morning. A police investigation is ongoing.
