Stranger Drags Man From Path Of Speeding Subway Train, Police Say
The straphanger had been pushed onto the tracks at the Brooklyn Bridge station platform.
FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A straphanger dragged a man who was pushed onto the subway tracks out of the way of a speeding train Thursday morning, police said.
A fellow subway rider grabbed the 55-year-old man and pulled him onto the platform of the Brooklyn Bridge station on the 4, 5 and 6 lines at 7:45 a.m.
Emergency responders took the man to Lower Manhattan Hospital where he was treated for a cut on his lip and released, authorities said.
