Victim Stabbed With Scissors by Homeless Man in Tompkins Square Park
Police say the 26-year-old victim allegedly got into an argument with a man and a woman about stolen personal property.

A 26-year-old unidentified man was stabbed several times by a man with scissors in Tompkins Square Park on Monday afternoon when he got into a fight with two people over some stolen items, the NYPD said.
Emerson Whitmore, 51, and Sarah Wilson, 36, who knew the victim, got into a fight with him over property that had gone missing or might have been stolen, according to the NYPD. According to the Manhattan District Attorney's office complaint, Whitmore said the victim had stolen something of his before, and Wilson asked the victim, "Yo, where's my shit?"
Whitmore stabbed the victim in the back, neck and torso multiple times with the scissors, and the crime was reported in to the police at 2:40 p.m. Wilson repeatedly kicked the victim when he fell to the ground and was still being stabbed, according to the DA's office. A passerby tried to intervene, and Whitmore swung the scissors threateningly at that person and Wilson swung her hands at them, the complaint said.
