Man Threatening to Jump From Building Shuts Down Walker Street in Tribeca
Eyewitness reports indicate the man began threatening to jump around 3 p.m. Wednesday. He was eventually taken down safely.

A man threatening to jump from the roof of a building shut down Walker Street in Tribeca for hours Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the man was eventually talked down and taken to an area hospital. But starting at about 3 p.m. and lasting until the evening rush, the man refused to come down.
Several eyewitness reports on Twitter indicated the man was threatening to jump from the roof of a building, necessitating the street closure. After a couple hours, hundreds had gathered to watch the event unfold.
