Man Throws Lit Matches At Subway Clerk's Booth, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who they say threw lit matches and a flaming piece of paper at an MTA booth inside the Fulton Street station.

FULTON STREET, NY — An angry subway rider threw lit matches at a clerk inside an MTA subway booth on Wednesday, police said.
The man, who has not been arrested, was inside the Fulton Street subway station on Wednesday at about 4:45 p.m. when he began arguing with the clerk inside the station’s MTA token booth, a 44-year-old man, according to police.
During the argument, the man wrote profanities and a threatening message on the glass wall of the booth before lighting multiple matches and throwing them into the booth’s money slot, the NYPD said. The man then allegedly lit of a piece of paper and threw it at the booth.

The man ran from the booth to the A/C platform inside the station. Surveillance footage from Fulton Street shows him yelling angrily and making a gun hand gesture with his hands near the subway turnstile.
Police are still searching for the man.
