2 Men Nabbed For Deadly Stabbing Near Times Square: NYPD

Police believe the attack may have been retaliatory over a prior dispute between the victim and three men.

NEW YORK CITY — Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly beating and stabbing near Times Square last month, police said on Wednesday.

Alagie Jatta, 29, and Paul Ohore, 32, both of the Bronx, have been charged with murder, among other offenses, for the Nov. 24 incident at West 49th Street and Seventh Avenue that led to the death of Daevon Silva, 23, of Rhode Island.

Ohore, Jatta, and a third suspect are accused of beating Silva with a baseball bat and stabbing him in the back and right thigh around 1 a.m.

The 23-year-old was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
