Pregnant Woman Attacked On NYC Subway: Police

A visibly pregnant woman was kicked twice in the stomach by a man after a dispute on a northbound 4 train, police said.

LOWER MANHATTAN, NY — A pregnant woman was kicked in her stomach by a subway rider Thursday morning following a dispute between the two on a northbound 4 train, police said.

The woman was reportedly transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The 28-year-old woman, who police said was visibly pregnant, reportedly got into an argument with a man on a northbound 4 train. During the dispute, the man kicked the woman twice in her stomach, according to police.

Officers responded to a 911 call at the Bowling Green subway station on Thursday morning before 9 a.m. The man, 40, was arrested and charges are pending, police sources told Patch.

The dispute reportedly started sometime after the man squeezed his way onto the crowded train car, police said.
