Smokestack Demolition In Jersey Could Shake FIDI, Police Say
Lower Manhattan will hear and see the controlled demolition of a New Jersey smokestack and water tower Friday morning.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Lower Manhattanites will feel a shake down when officials topple a 175-foot smokestack and 150-foot steel water tower in Bayonne, New Jersey Friday morning.
The controlled implosion at about 10 a.m. is part of the final stages of demolition at the Lincoln Logistics Center, a more than 152-acre waterfront site in Bayonne that is being redeveloped into industrial warehouse space, according to Lincoln Equities Group or LEG.
