Suspect Arrested In Queens Hit-And-Run Of Tribeca Man: NYPD
Ridgewood resident Irving Duran, 28, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash, police said.
TRIBECA, NY — Police arrested a suspect in the Queens hit-and-run death of a 29-year-old man from Tribeca, authorities said.
Niklas Ahern was fatally struck by a silver sedan while crossing Continental Avenue near Slocum Crescent in Forest Hills Sunday at 5:30 p.m. The vehicle's driver, Irving Duran, careened into Ahern and sped off, said police.
Medics rushed Ahern to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested Duran, 28, at his Ridgewood home Monday night and charged him with leaving the scene of a vehicle accident resulting in death, police said.
