Tribeca Is The Most Expensive NYC Neighborhood For Real Estate
The Lower Manhattan neighborhood is the priciest for new real estate purchases, a study finds.

TRIBECA, NY — The tony Manhattan neighborhood of Tribeca maintained its reputation as the city's most expensive neighborhood for real estate, according to a new study.
A new ranking of property sales throughout the city from PropertyShark shows that Tribeca takes the cake, with a whopping $4.68 million as the median price for a Tribeca home in 2017. The area saw 417 homes sold in 2017 and the median price of homes in Tribeca increased by 12 percent compared to last year. Tribeca was also the city's priciest neighborhood in 2016 and 2015, according to PropertyShark's evaluations.
The swanky Soho neighborhood comes in second, with a median sales price of $2.99 million, according to Property Shark. The rest of the top five were also Lower Manhattan neighborhoods: Hudson Square, Flatiron District and Little Italy.
