Tribeca Virtual Reality Arcade Comes to Westfield World Trade Center
Kids (and adults) can fight aliens, interact with suspenseful plot-lines, and explore cartoons.
TRIBECA, NY —For the next two weekends, you might see children and adults alike standing in Westfield World Trade Center mall, arms out reaching for things that aren't there, with Virtual Reality goggles tied to their faces.
The mall partnered with Tribeca Enterprises to establish the "Tribeca Virtual Arcade" in the center of the mall over the weekends, with eight stations where you can watch action shorts in 360-degree views.
There's an animated movie about space aliens, a movie that shadows a Cirque de Soleil production, and a supernatural drama created by the director of The Bourne Identity that takes place in New York and follows a powerful corporate family. You can see the full list of short films, from four to 13 minutes long, featured here.
