Woman Run Over And Killed By Charter Bus In Lower Manhattan: NYPD
The woman was crossing the street in the Financial District when she was struck and killed Thursday night, police said.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A 28-year-old woman was struck and killed by a charter bus as she crossed a Lower Manhattan street Thursday night, police said.
The driver of the Tennessee-bound charter bus ran over Kimberly Greer of Melville, Long Island at about 7:30 p.m. as she crossed Leonard Street between Centre and Lafayette streets, police said.
Police took the 50-year-old driver Xi Chen into custody at the scene. He was charged with motor vehicle failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to use due care, authorities said.

Greer was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she was declared dead.
A police investigation is ongoing.
