Beyoncé and Jay-Z Buy Beautiful $26M 'Pond House' In East Hampton
The $26 million sale is the second highest in East Hampton this year.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Welcome to the Hamptons, Beyoncé and Jay-Z: The A list couple reportedly just snapped up a $26 million property on Georgica Pond in East Hampton.
Although news of the sale broke before the buyers were revealed and Compass Real Estate, which handled the sale, could not confirm or deny reports, according to Behind the Hedges, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the new superstar neighbors on the East End.
Located at 81 Briar Patch Road in East Hampton, “The Pond House” is "a Jeffrey Collé designed, beautiful property on coveted Georgica Pond. It’s a 12,000 square-foot, 7 bed, 7.5 bath home with more than 200 feet of direct frontage on Georgica Pond and adjacent to 17 acres of meadow preserve owned by the Nature Conservancy," according to the listing.

Stunning design details include hand-carved heated marble tubs, quarter-sawn white oak paneling with hand-applied French chalk finish, and hand-pegged parquet de Versailles floors throughout. The property also features a large infinity-edged pool and spa, complete with an outdoor grilling area with a wraparound terrace of Turkish limestone.
The sale is notable for Compass: The top two sales in East Hampton this year have both involved Compass brokers, Compass reps said. Ed Petrie of Compass brought the buyer to East Hampton's $29M sale at 211 Lily Pond Lane, where the Clintons reportedly stayed — and Lori Schiaffino represented the year's second highest sale at 81 Briar Patch, Compass representatives said.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have clearly long loved the area, renting in past years and seen bicycling and enjoying the Hamptons lifestyle.
