East Hampton Estate Named Most Expensive Home in New York

The home was listed the second most expensive home in the U.S.

The “Briar Patch” estate in East Hampton was recently named the most expensive home in New York by Point2Homes, according to Business Insider.

The 11.2 acre estate, located on 90 Briar Patch Road, is currently on the market for $140 million.

The home is the second most expensive home in the U.S., with the “Palazzo di Amore” in Beverly Hill, California coming in at the most expensive at $149 million, according to Business Insider.

The waterfront estate on Georgica Pond is currently listed by Christie’s International Real Estate.

The estate, which has appeared on the National Register of Historic Places, includes a main house with six bedrooms and a guest house with four bedrooms.

The home was built in 1931 by its original architect, Arthur C. Jackson, according to the listing.

Currently, the property is subdivided into two buildable lots with building envelopes well beyond the ample structures that currently exist, permitting the construction of a private art gallery, conservatory, spa/gymnasium or expanded residence for guests or extended family, the listing reads.
