Every children’s book lover knows Eloise — the rambunctious forever-six-year-old girl who lives a life of fun, luxury and adventure in NYC’s Plaza Hotel. But now we find out via the New York Post that she also hangs at her home at 1 Squires Path in East Hampton.

That’s where the artist/illustrator who created Eloise, Hilary Knight, has lived for about thirty years. He is now selling his charming three-bedroom/three-bathroom Hamptons 60s-style waterfront “cottage.” Complete with a pool, a pond, a separate pool house/studio, a greenhouse, and a gorgeous .6 acre garden this is the perfect Hamptons sanctuary.

Knight, along with Eloise author, the late Kay Thompson, created numerous books about Eloise, but who knew the image of Eloise as a monkey was included in a mural on the wall of one of Knight’s bathrooms within this 2,300 sq. ft. house?
