Famed Grey Gardens Estate Available For Rent
The home is available through next July for $175,000.

The famed Grey Gardens estate in East Hampton is now available for rent until July 31 for $175,000.
The home, located on West End Road, was rented for this past summer by maternity fashion designer Liz Lange, according to a report in the New York Post.
Current owner by writer Sally Quinn brought the mansion in 1979 with her late husband, Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, according to the report.

The home was made famous in the 1975 landmark documentary about socialite “Big” Edith and her daughter “Little” Edie Beale.
Since then, the story has been made into a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and an HBO movie starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, according to the Grey Gardens website.

The estate was listed by broker Gary DePersia of Corcoran Group Real Estate.
The 7-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home, originally designed by Joseph Greenleaf Thorpe in 1897, is located next to next to Georgica Beach, according to the listing.
The mansion was “totally renovated and restored to its originally condition with the addition of today’s amenities when the current owners rescued it some 30 years ago,” the listing reads.
The 2 acre estate features a heated pool, a tennis court and the legendary gardens.
