Further Lane Home Owned By Famed Talent Manager Sells For $18.9M
A home belonging to Sandy Gallin, beloved talent manager to the stars, has sold in East Hampton.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A new owner will soon be living in the incredible home designed by Sandy Gallin, the man responsible for helping guide the careers of many of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Gallin's home, located at 466 Further Lane in East Hampton South, is a 2.11 acre parcel that sold for $18.9 million; the gorgeous retreat features 7 bed, 9 baths, and 2 half baths.
"The whole is more than the sum of its parts. The combination of main house plus 4 outbuildings merge with outdoor entertainment areas, stone installations, and apple orchards to create a unified compound on Further Lane," the listing by Douglas Elliman said. "Thoughtful landscape design seamlessly connects the interior to the exterior. Gunite pool, separate spa, chef's kitchen, family room, full dining room, major screening room, gym, pool house and so much more. Elegant, yet casually comfortable. The essence of the fine art of simple luxury living today."

Gallin, who passed away in April, was the ultimate Hollywood insider. He knew everyone from his days as a top talent broker and producer. But by the end of the 90s he gave up his career as a super agent for something he loved even more — interior design.
While he didn't have an office, he never needed one because he has the kind of high-powered friends who love to buy, sell and redecorate real estate. And he also loved to do it for himself and became a power house flipper.

Gallin's masterpiece at 466 Further Lane was the epitome of his ultra chic, natural, yet utterly luxe style. Described by Linda Haugevik, the Douglas Elliman broker who handled the listing, as "the most tasteful house in the Hamptons," Gallin's celebrity pals concurred with her assessment.
Former client Dolly Parton always knew he had an eye for design when she stayed with him at his home in LA. "I walked in and thought, 'Oh my God! This is beautiful. It is so well-done.' I grew up with no taste, no money, no style, no class, no nothing, so you appreciate those kinds of things. Even though he loved show business — he was the best manager that I and many other people ever had — his greatest gift is what he is doing now," Parton told Architectural Digest.
And Kelly Ripa told the magazine: "The first time I went to one of his cocktail parties at a place he owned in the Hamptons, I overhead a woman say: 'This is what God would do if he — or she — had money.' That's pretty much it."
