• Savarese Takes Over as Chair of Z.B.A. (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton’s Zoning Board of Appeals has a new leader, as longtime town insider Denise Savarese steps up from vice chair to chairwoman after decades with the board. She plans to keep public hearings focused and transparent while balancing homeowners’ projects with strict environmental protections that affect everything from pools and additions to waterfront building plans.
   

• East Hampton Historical Society Launches ‘Spirit of 76' Podcast for America's 250th (danspapers.com) — East Hampton residents can now dive into a new “Spirit of 76” podcast that traces how the American Revolution unfolded locally, month by month in 1776. Created by an East Hampton High School student with the Historical Society, it supports America’s 250th celebrations and ties into plans to restore Mulford Farm to its 1770s appearance.
   

• LI Communities Hold Numerous Vigils For Renee Good, Shot Dead By ICE: 'Love Is The Antidote' (patch.com) — East Hampton joined East End communities in holding candlelight vigils, including one at Hook Mill, to mourn Renee Nicole Good and call attention to local fears about ICE enforcement. Speakers urged solidarity with immigrant neighbors, questioned federal actions, and encouraged residents to stay engaged, volunteer, and vote for change in 2026.
