Five drain covers were thrown off the roof of Grand Avenue Middle School and struck two vehicles sometime between May 25-28.
A backpack was stolen on May 29 from the checkout counter of the Goodwill Store on Merrick Road.

The hood and side of a 2005 Chevrolet Caprice parked at Appelbees on Sunrise Highway was keyed on May 30.
Tires were slashed on a vehicle parked near the intersection of Newbridge Road and Oak Street on June 2.

East Meadow
- Sometime between May 30 and May 31, tires were removed from a vehicle parked on Marlboro Street. The car was left on cement blocks.
- An unknown person entered Woodland Middle School through an open cafeteria window on June 1. No property was stolen or damaged.
- Eric Engvaldsen, 48, of East Meadow was charged and arrested for public assistance fraud, according to the district attorney's office.
