East Meadow To Hold Superintendent Search Community Forum

EAST MEADOW, NY — East Meadow residents are invited to a community forum on Nov. 29 to give feedback on the qualities they think the school district's next superintendent should have.

The Board of Education has hired District Wise Search Consultants, who will lead the forum. Community input will be invaluable to create a profile for the next leader of the East Meadow School District. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth A. Card, Jr. will retire effective Aug. 31, 2023.

The meeting has been scheduled for Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center in Rooms 1A and 1B. For those who are unable to attend in person, a Zoom link is available on the district website.

The participation of all community stakeholders is very important during this process. All information gathered will be included anonymously in a report that will be prepared for the board of education.

Emails received by Dec. 2 will be included in the consultant’s report. Emails received after this date will be forwarded to the board of education but will remain anonymous.
