East Meadow Resident Builds Houses During Spring Break

Danielle Cascione, an East Meadow resident and a sophomore at Providence College, spent a week building homes for Habitat of Humanity during her spring break.

Cascione was one of more than 230 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break working at Habitat home sites in 16 locations in the United States. Cascione worked on a home project in York, PA.

Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, housing organization that builds and rehabilitates simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter.
