Cooking Class, Health Seminar This Week

Cooking Class: Learn how to make "Sweet Strawberry Salad" during the East Meadow Library's Simple Cooking Series Monday beginning at 7 p.m. at the library. A non-refundable $10 materials fee is required for each person cooking. Space is limited; call 794-2570 ext. 560.

Health Seminar: Dr. Tassenari of St. Francis Heart Hospital will visit the East Meadow Public Library Tuesday beginning at 12:30 p.m. to discuss the new primary care facilities being created throughout Nassau.

Outdoor Movie: Nassau County will feature the movie, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" (rated PG, 94 minutes) on the giant screen at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre beginning at sunset (7:53 p.m.) Thursday, Aug. 15. The event is free.
