EMFD Seeks Used Vehicle Donations for Training Exercises
Donations to help EMFD personnel be prepared are tax-deductible

Do you have an old, unused, or junk vehicle that you can’t sell and is taking up space in your driveway? Consider donating it to the East Meadow Fire Department to help support its ongoing training efforts. EMFD volunteers use old vehicles to routinely train on simulating motor vehicle accidents using Jaws of Life® and other tools to safely extricate victims that may be trapped in motor vehicle accidents. Your donation will not only help EMFD first responders be better prepared but will also gain you a tax deduction for your generous support.
EMFD volunteers regularly undergo extensive training that covers every aspect of firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services. This training provides them with the skills to combat fires safely and address a variety of emergency services efficiently and effectively while prioritizing their safety and that of the public they protect.
For more information, or to donate a vehicle, contact John Morris, District Supervisor. East Meadow Fire District at 516-542-0586 or jmorris@eastmeadowfd.com.
