The EPIC Family of Human Services Agencies has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Talent Acquisition category in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers. The annual event, deemed “the Olympics for human resources professionals,” recognizes organizations from across the country for the efforts they put into creating an empowering workplace environment being the best places to work in a range of industries. With a staff exceeding 700 extraordinary individuals distributed across its three distinguished agencies, the EPIC Family offers a diverse array of services to individuals in need throughout the Island and strives to attract the most talented counselors, caregivers and administrators to create a nurturing, compassionate and empowering experience for those in their care.

"The EPIC Family of Human Services Agencies is immensely proud to be honored with a Bronze Stevie Award for our excellence in talent acquisition," stated Lisa Burch, CEO/President of the Epic Family of Human Agencies. “This accolade reflects the ongoing dedication of our team in recruiting individuals committed to fostering a supportive care environment for those in need. Managing this responsibility is no easy task, and the team's unwavering commitment to ensuring staff satisfaction and well-being is truly exceptional. We extend our gratitude to the Stevie Awards for this prestigious recognition and commend our HR team for their steadfast dedication and unwavering commitment."

The HR team at EPIC Family of Human Service Agencies is making significant strides with their innovative approach to addressing critical staffing challenges. Comprised of seven professionals, many of whom have worked in the direct care roles they are currently recruiting for, the team has demonstrated a commitment to their mission in the face of historically high vacancy rates. Breaking away from traditional HR department structures, the team at EPIC has eliminated the standard recruiter position and instead, every member of the HR team is involved in recruiting and interviewing. This unique approach allows the agency to recruit every day of the week and fosters a sense of teamwork around talent acquisition. By leveraging their collective expertise and implementing modern HR practices, the team has not only successfully addressed staffing challenges but has also contributed to EPIC's overall success and sustainability.
