Fight At Nassau Restaurant Leads To Arrest: Police
Police say two men were fighting and one pulled out a gun. A bystander was hurt.

UNIONDALE, NY — A Uniondale man was arrested Tuesday after a chaotic fight at a local restaurant, Nassau County police said.
According to police, around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Kevin Allen, 50, of Uniondale, was waiting in line at the Golden Crest restaurant, located at 540 Jerusalem Ave., when he was approached by a man he knew.
Police say they started arguing, and the other man pulled a black handgun from his waistband and pointed it at Allen. As the fight continued, the handgun fell to the ground and was picked up by a bystander. The other man ran.

According to police, Allen then attacked the bystander to get the gun. He started choking them from behind, and took the gun from the person's waistband, and then fled, police said.
The bystander also suffered a cut behind their ear, and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Around 3 p.m., officers responded to Edgemere Avenue and Linwood Street in Uniondale for a man needing medical attention. When they arrived, police say placed Allen under arrest without incident.
Police say the officers recovered a loaded, defaced Lorcin L380 handgun during the arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
Allen is charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree robbery, criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault. He is scheduled to appear in Hempstead district court Wednesday.
