McKevitt, Cossou Vie For 13th County Legislature Seat As Unofficial Results Are Published

McKevitt sought reelection as a Republican while Cossou sought to unseat him from the left.

EAST MEADOW, NY. — Unofficial tallies have been released in the Nassau County Legislature’s 13th district, and with 10,009 votes Thomas McKevitt has been declared the winner over challenger Clive Cossou.

McKevitt received 61.83 percent of votes cast, while Cossou received 6,173 votes, or 38.14 percent of votes. The win brings McKevitt a fifth term in the legislature, where he has served since 2017.

Results in the election are unofficial until certified by the County Board of Elections. Further information on all of Tuesday’s elections can be found through the Nassau County Board of Elections and the New York State Board of Elections.
