Nassau Man Injured 5 Officers While Resisting Arrest: Police
Police say a domestic disturbance call led to the arrest, but the man refused to comply with officers.
WESTBURY, NY — Nassau County police say a Westbury man injured five officers when they tried to place him under arrest on Saturday.
According to police, officers went to a home on Bowling Green Drive at 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 20 for a call about a disturbance. After investigating, police tried to place Cristhofer Peralta Liriano, 22, under arrest.
Police say Liriano resisted and fought with the officers. The officers eventually used a stun gun to stop Liriano and place him under arrest.

Five officers were injured during the arrest. One suffered injuries to his shoulders, hands, back and neck. Another suffered cuts to his face and head, one of which required multiple stitches. The other officers all suffered cuts and injuries to their faces and bodies, police said.
Liriano is charged with second-degree criminal contempt, petty larceny, resisting arrest, five counts of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Nov. 21.
