National Night Out, Kiwanis Meeting Tuesday

Here's a rundown of what's happening in East Meadow today and on East Meadow Patch:

Pizza Anyone: Lia's Pizzeria officially opened for business at 2330 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow. Read more about it here.

National Night Out: The 30th annual National Night Out kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Town Square, Veteran's Memorial Park in East Meadow. This year's crime/drug prevention event will be geared towards child safety. Reservations are not necessary. The event will be held rain or shine. Chamber Meeting: The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce will hold a meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the East Meadow Library in downstairs meeting Room B.

Game Night: Join the East Meadow Library's Book Buddies for an hour of board game fun beginning at 7 p.m. Registration began June 25. Event is limited to 20 children. Contact the library at 794-2570 to check availability for tonight's event.

Kiwanis Meeting: East Meadow Kiwanis will meet at 7:15 p.m. at the Empress Diner. New members are always welcome. For more information, contact club president Debbie Kirsh at 662-7451.
