NUMC Nurses Raise Funds For Children in Haiti

The money raised will pay a full year's tuition for one of the children in secondary school in Gonaives, Haiti.

Nurses from Nassau University Medical Center's Emergency Department recently raised money to benefit women and children in Haiti.

Five hundred and thirty dollars was raised on behalf of Dr. Gilberte Rosarion's organization, Eye of a Dream.

This sum will pay a full year's tuition for one of the children in secondary school in Gonaives, Haiti.

Eye of a Dream invests 100 percent of the funds pledged, in changing the lives of children in Gonaives, both through paying for formal education and bringing solutions to issues of domestic and sexual violence.
