• Man used sulfuric acid to attack girlfriend in November, DA says (newsday.com) — A woman badly burned in a sulfuric acid attack was treated at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where doctors worked for a week to stabilize her worsening condition. Prosecutors say a Wyandanch man splashed her with acid during an argument, then allegedly tried to pressure her and others from testifying before he was indicted on multiple assault and witness tampering charges.
