Police Present At East Meadow Elementary School After Threat : Cops

EAST MEADOW, NY — Law enforcement have increased their presence at an East Meadow elementary school on Friday morning, after it received a threat via email, Nassau County Police said.

Officials were notified of the threat at George McVey Elementary School at about 8 a.m. on Friday, and quickly deployed officers there.

While classes are still in session, police will remain present at the school all day to further investigate the threat and to provide safety precautions for students and staff.
