14 Puppies Rescued After Being Caged In Nassau Alley: Police
There is an investigation into who abandoned the puppies, police said.

EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — More than a dozen abandoned puppies were found caged Wednesday night in East Rockaway, police said.
Barking dogs sent officers to investigate just before 10:30 p.m. They discovered the puppies in an alley near Centre Avenue, police said.
The puppies were brought to the Town of Hempstead Animal Control where they are being assessed and treated.
