Man Dies After Early Morning Crash In North Lawrence: Police

LAWRENCE, NY. — A man died after being struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee while crossing Nassau Expressway Tuesday morning in North Lawrence, police said.

The accident occurred at 5:09 a.m. Tuesday when the man was crossing the street at the intersection with Bay Boulevard, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by an NCPD medic while the 34-year-old man driving the Jeep remained at the scene, police said. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
