Man Exposes Himself On Bus In Nassau: Police

Dwight Poorman, 61, faces charges that include first-degree public lewdness for the Monday morning incident, police said.

CEDARHURST, NY — A Far Rockaway man was arrested on Monday for exposing himself on an MTA bus in Cedarhurst, police said.

Just after 9 a.m., Dwight Poorman, 61, got irate on the bus in the vicinity of Rockaway Turnpike and Everdell Avenue and pulled down his pants, police said.

A 30-year-old man, a 17-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl were on the bus, authorities said.

Poorman also threatened victims with a stick, but no injuries were reported, police said.

Officers placed him under arrest without incident. He was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Poorman is charged with first-degree public lewdness: victim less than 16 years old, exposure of a person, endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He'll be arraigned when medically practical.
