A man was found dead in front of an Inwood home Tuesday evening, according to Nassau County Police.
At 6:30 p.m., police responded to James Street near Jefferson Avenue after receiving a 911 call from a passerby, according to the NCPD’s Homicide Squad, which is investigating the incident.

Police identified the victim Thursday as Deshawn Henry, 22 of Brooklyn.
A cause of death has not yet been confirmed and is pending a medical examiner’s report.

The street where the Henry was found has homes on one side and trees on the other. The tree lined side backs up to Nassau Expressway.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
