Man Beaten With Bat In Flushing Brawl Over Stolen Jacket: NYPD

Police are searching for the two perps who allegedly beat the man outside a swanky rooftop bar and fled in a black Maserati.

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- One man's Memorial Day celebration ended with a trip to the hospital after he was hit with a baseball bat in a fight over a stolen coat outside a swanky hotel rooftop bar in Flushing, police said.

Cops are searching for the two perps, who zoomed away in a black Maserati after knocking the 28-year-old man in the head at around 3:20 a.m. on Monday.

The dispute began inside Hotel De Point's rooftop lounge, Element X, when the 28-year-old got into a fight with the two men who stole his jacket, police said.

The man continued arguing with the pair, following them outside the hotel at 20-07 127th St., when one of the men pulled out a baseball bat and swung it at his head before fleeing with his accomplice in their luxury sports car, police said.

The man was sent to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital for a gash on his head from the blow and is now in stable condition.

The NYPD later released surveillance footage of the two perps, which shows the alleged thief with the stolen coat slung over his shoulder and his accomplice who swung the baseball bat in a red sweater.
