4 Forest Hills Restaurants Join NYC Summer Restaurant Week 2022

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Neighbors in Forest Hills will have a handful of options for discounted meals in the neighborhood during this summer's edition of NYC Restaurant Week.

All told, four restaurants in Forest Hills will join the latest deal-filled event, which will kick off July 18 and run through August 21, lasting 30 days in honor of the event's 30th anniversary (though it's not the event's first five-week-long affair).

Reservations are already open for the 642 spots participating citywide as of Wednesday, including 27 restaurants in Queens — a step down for the borough (and the neighborhood) compared to past restaurant weeks, which usually prove to be Manhattan-centric.

The summer 2022 program will offer prix-fixe lunch and dinner meals for $30, $45 or $60.

In Forest Hills, the list of participating restaurants include a longtime Italian eatery and popular BBQ joint. Here's the full list of Forest Hills eateries with Restaurant Week 2022 deals:

Neighbors willing to go a bit farther afield have more options in Queens including Uncle Peter's Italian restaurant in Jackson Heights, Estrella Latina in Corona and nearly a dozen eateries in Astoria and Long Island City.

Unlike the past two Restaurant Weeks, this one will be the first since the coronavirus pandemic without sweeping masking and capacity restrictions.

"Masks and proof of vaccination are no longer required to dine indoors," the event's site states.

City officials, though, still recommend that people wear high-quality masks in indoor public spaces amid a recent BA.5-fueled citywide spike in COVID cases.
