70-Year-Old Attacked By Masked Robbers In Kew Gardens Hills: NYPD

The robbers made the 70-year-old trip using an unknown blunt object before taking his watch, ring, and bracelet on Wednesday, police said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Two robbers in Kew Gardens Hills targeted a 70-year-old man last week, taking his jewelry after making him trip and fall, police said.

The robbers made the 70-year-old trip using an unknown blunt object before taking his watch, ring, and bracelet on Wednesday, April 19, around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 141th Street and 78th Avenue, the NYPD said.

They fled in a four-door, brown Mitsubishi Outlander SUV with New York State registration #KVD8355. The vehicle, which had damage to the rear bumper, was driven by a third person, authorities said.

The 70-year-old sustained minor injuries, cops said.

One of the robbers is about 5 feet, 8 inches, tall, and was last seen wearing a black mask, brown hooded sweatshirt, gray vest, dark jeans, and gray and white sneakers, police said.

The second man is about 5 feet, 10 inches, tall, and was last seen wearing a green balaclava, sunglasses, a black jacket, and black pants, according to the NYPD.

Police released images of the men on Saturday.
