Accused Mom Killer Held Without Bail As Grisly Details Emerge: Report
Prosecutors accused David Bonola of slashing his on-and-off lover Orsolya Gaal's throat before stabbing her 50 times, reports say.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The man who reportedly confessed to fatally stabbing a Forest Hills mother will stay behind bars until his trial after prosecutors revealed additional grisly details in the woman's murder, according to police, prosecutors and media reports.
A judge ordered David Bonola, 44, to be held without bail Thursday night during his arraignment in Queens Supreme Court on murder, criminal tampering and criminal weapons charges in connection to the murder of Orsolya Gaal, multiple outlets reported.
The order came after prosecutors revealed new details of Gaal's killing during the arraignment, according to reports.

Prosecutors accused Bonola of slashing his ex-lover's throat and stabbing her more than 50 times with a knife from her home. He had been in a two-year, off-and-on intimate relationship with the married mother while working as her handyman, officials said.
Gaal, who willingly let Bonola into her home shortly after midnight on April 16, repeatedly asked him to leave after they got into an argument in the basement, prosecutors reportedly said.

Bonola, instead, repeatedly stabbed Gaal and stuffed her bloodied, mutilated body into a duffel bag belonging to her son, which he ditched on the edge of Forest Park, according to media reports and prosecutors.
Gaal was murdered while her 13-year-old was sleeping upstairs, prosecutors said.
On Wednesday night, several days after the killing and hours after a trip to Chipotle, Bonola (who was already wanted for an interview) was spotted by police and agreed to speak with them about the case, according to officials.
Police, having already found a series of clues linking Bonola to Gaal's death, questioned the handyman at the station, where they said he confessed to stabbing Gaal — according to the Queens District Attorney.
"Two boys are left without a mother and a young teenager faces the added trauma of being home when this heinous murder took place," said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
"As alleged, the defendant stabbed the victim over 50 times and then attempted to dispose of the body by stuffing it into a duffel bag and dragging it across a quiet residential neighborhood – leaving a trail of blood and a terrified community. The defendant is now in custody and will be held to account for this horrific crime," she added.
Bonola is expected to return to court Tuesday. He could face 25-years-to-life in prison if convicted, according to the DA.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, though, lodged a detainer with Queens Central Booking following Bonola's arrest, CBS News reported.
"That means that he's not here with permission and that he's subject to deportation," legal expert Stuart Slotnick told CBS of Bonola, who is a Mexican citizen living in Queens.
