Armed Robber Who Stole $200 From Queens 7-Eleven Charged: NYPD
The robber broke the convenience store's door and coffee maker while trying to flee with the cash, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A man who pulled a gun on a Kew Gardens Hills 7-Eleven clerk and broke the convenience store's door and coffee maker while trying to flee with nearly $200 has been arrested, police said.
It happened about 10:25 p.m. Monday at the 7-Eleven on the corner of Main Street and Jewel Avenue, according to the NYPD.
The man — who police later identified as Alan Malkov — walked into the 7-Eleven and pointed a gun at the clerk, demanding that the worker hand over money, police said.

The clerk handed over about $200 in cash, according to the NYPD.
Malkov tried to run off with the cash, breaking the convenience store's front door and coffee maker in the process, but police quickly arrested him, an NYPD spokesperson said.

The 22-year-old Queens resident was hit with a handful of charges, including robbery, criminal mischief, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
No one was hurt during the robbery, according to the NYPD.
Reached for comment, a worker at the 7-Eleven confirmed that no one was injured during the robbery but declined to answer further questions.
