Beautification Events Come To Forest Park This Weekend
There are multiple volunteer beautification events this weekend, including a Park's Department program and family-oriented clean-up.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Forest Hills residents have several chances this weekend to spend time outdoors while beautifying local green spaces.
This weekend at Forest Park, the Parks Department is bringing back its recurrent trash pick up, known as The Litter Ambassadors program, and Kew Kids Forest School is hosting its monthly trail maintenance program for the whole family.
Litter Ambassadors meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the park, and Kew Kids Forest School's family volunteer event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

As a volunteer Litter Ambassador people hand out garbage bags to park-goers around Forest Park, and help clean up around the park's picnic and BBQ areas.
Similarly, the family volunteer event involves walking around the park and picking up trash, but volunteers will also work on a host of trail maintenance tasks, like planting, brush clearing, and raking.
