Best Buy, Chase Bank & More Coming To Forest Hills Job Fair

The big-name retailers are among several companies coming to the Central Queens Y job fair on June 8, Sen. Joe Addabbo announced Friday.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS -- Job seekers, mark your calendars. More than 25 employers in career fields from retail to government will be recruiting in Forest Hills on June 8.

New York Sen. Joseph Addabbo (D-Queens) announced on Friday that he partnered up with The Central Queens Y to host a job fair inside the nonprofit center at 67-09 108th St.

"Providing jobs is always a top priority in my office," he said.

Employers will be at the Central Queens Y from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect resumes and interview potential job candidates, Addabbo said.

The fair will feature recruiters from big-name retailers such as Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Whole Foods and Chase Manhattan Bank, along with companies in government, social services, healthcare and food service career fields.

"The job fair is a great opportunity for us to work with local businesses and invite the Queens community to take advantage of our growing and thriving workforce program," said Central Queens Y CEO Danielle Ellman.

Those interested in participating should come dressed in professional attire with ample copies of their resume and register in advance on the Central Queens Y website.
