Address: 108-26 Ascan Ave.
According to one reader, “if it’s not Nick’s Pizza, then you’re a heretic.” Described as an old-school family pizza shop, Nick’s has been a member of the Forest Hills community for 20 years. The shop is located in the heart of Forest Hills and offers thin-crust slices, crispy calzones and authentic Italian desserts.
Gloria’s
Address: 108-22 Queens Blvd.
Gloria’s Pizza has been serving up slices since 1960 — made fresh from original family recipes. Pizza is made in house using ingredients both imported from Italy and locally sourced. Fan favorites include Gloria’s garlic knots, zeppole and the cheese-and-chicken masala pie. Come for the pizza. Stay for the conversation.
Lillian Pizzeria

Address: 9601 69th Ave.
Lillian Pizzeria, or simply — and affectionately — known as Lillian’s, maintains a high Yelp consensus amid 146 reviews. Such reviews include praise of Lillian’s tangy sauce and well-portioned cheese — “the best pizza slice in Forest Hills,” one Yelper commented.
Lillian’s is further lauded as an authentic, old-fashioned New York City pizza spot, and rumor has it that this is Ray Romano’s favorite pizzeria.
Pizza Classica
Address: 89-89 Union Turnpike
Located right on the edge of Forest Hills at the border of Glendale is a family-friendly restaurant offering homemade eats that the Pizza Classica Facebook page promises to be mouthwatering. One Forest Hills reader praised Pizza Classica for its thick, crispy crust and selection of toppings.
Pizza Classica started out at a small location in Bayside, but today, the restaurant combines Old World charm with modern-day dishes using fresh ingredients amid a casual, comfortable atmosphere. There’s more that meets the eye — or tastebuds — here than pizza, however; Pizza Classica offers an extensive wine and dessert menu as well as a full menu of entrees.
Dante’s Pizza

Yelp reviews for Dante’s Pizza note the shop’s friendly, fast delivery service on multiple occasions, but the reason people keep coming back to Dante’s, according to Yelp users, is because the pizza is consistently good. One user noted the plain, eggplant and grandma pies, with another user referring to Dante’s as “a beacon of punctuality in a sea of slow pokes.”
