4 Hurt After Blaze Erupts At LeFrak City Wednesday Morning: FDNY
Firefighters rushed to the giant housing development on the edge of Forest Hills to battle a blaze in a 10th floor unit, the FDNY tweeted.

QUEENS, NY — A fire broke out at a 20-tower housing development on the edge of Forest Hills Wednesday morning injuring four people, according to the FDNY.
The blaze began shortly after 8 a.m. on the 10th floor of an apartment building within LeFrak City, fire officials said.
Firefighters quickly issued an all-hands alarm, and rushed to the 18-story tower located at 97-15 Horace Harding Expressway, located on the expressway between 99th Street and Junction Boulevard, according to the FDNY.

Videos uploaded to Citizen show several fire trucks crowding the tower's front parking lot, and smoke emanating from one of the tower's windows.
Less than an hour later, about 8:50 a.m., firefighters got the blaze under control, the FDNY said, but four people were still hurt in the process.

Two civilians and two firefighters were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, a spokesperson said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the FDNY.
